TPS Spring/Summer Enrichment Clubs

Monday
Drama w/ Tiffany Packed with all the usual fun, creativity and group work that drama offers, the aim of these clubs is to create bespoke performances for our TPS stage in the summer (guidelines depending!). For both groups there will be a expectation to learn lines gradually and with support and ideally come every week. The Monday group is full (assuming everyone from last term re-joins); this group will be working on a scripted play called 'Jabberwock'. The Wednesday group is strongly recommended for ALL Yr 9 & 10 GCSE drama students to gain VITAL experience and confidence. 'Although everyone is welcome from Yr 8+! There needs to be a minimum of 8 people in this group in order to run and a maximum of 16.  
Coding Club w/ Nick (Limited to 11 kids) Come and continue the work using programming with CoSpaces Edu. Create playable 3D computer games or learn how to use the Physics engine to create scenes that work like real life. Using Physics - create a huge domino-run that you can start going by pushing over the first object - and which could trigger different things as they fall. Learn how to add sounds and even experiment with putting your mobile phone into a 3D-headset so that you can literally move around inside your own 3D Environment.  
Choir w/ Cat Students will be able to have some fun with a variety of comopositions from West End Musicals to Abba Medleys, learning along the way to identify if they are most suited to soprano, alto, tenor or bass.  
Systema w/ Kristian Systema is a Russian martial and health art designed to help remove fear and tension from the body. There will be exercises focussing on breathing, movement, striking and grappling, practised solo, with a partner and as part of a group. We'll also be doing a range of martial arts games and exercises to help you relax, improve your reactions and strengthen the body. This club is suitable for any level of fitness or martial arts experience.  
 
Football w/ Dale and Oli A great opportunity t o come along, run around and learn football skills. Allow students to improve their co-ordination and fitness while having fun in a relaxed, supportive environment.  
Mindfullness Crafting/Sewing - w/ Kat/ Kiri max 10 students From dream catchers and bath bombs to sewing and quilling projects. An opportunity to relax, unwind and get creative! I am a firm believer that crafting and creating are good for our souls. My aim is for students to create projects that they have put their time and energy into and leave with a sense of pride and accomplishment. All abilities are welcome, and students will be gently guided through all steps of the project. NOTE: 10 students maximum. First come, first served. Please email kats@top-school.co.uk to sign up.  
Debate Cub Yr 7/8 Kate Debating can be a fantastic way to develop analytical skills and confidence when speaking. Students will brainstorm and share ideas, research key information, prepare submissions and rebuttals and take part in competitive debates.  
Board Games and Jigsaws w/ Fiona Y F/7/8 This is an opportunity to unwind and to play board games together. Students may bring games from home to enjoy playing at this club. LARS Club will resume in the Summer term.  
Wednesday
Art Club w/ Sarah max 10 students The art room is open to students to come and make whatever they have been longing to create. Sarah will be on hand with advice, suggestions and materials!

Escape Room Club w/ Nick P Play, design and make your own Escape Room.  
Newspaper Club w/ Charlotte TPS Newsletter journalists will be producing a newsletter once a term for students, staff and parents, and it will be full of articles that celebrate events, achievements and the daily life of the school. Students involved in the club will be able to develop their interviewing and research skills, and we will be looking into types of journalistic writing and even practicing photography. There's a lot of scope for potential articles, including opinion pieces, reporting on events, book reviews, film reviews, game reviews, interviews, observations, commentaries on current events, investigations, case studies, short stories, advice columns, sports columns... the list goes on!  
Senior Jam w/ Anna Preparation for recording studio. Limited places.  
STAFF Chill Club w/ Kat For staff members only. An opportunity to unwind, connect and enjoy some relaxing activities.  
Thursday
Cricket/Badminton w/ Oli and Paul This club provides lots of opportunities for students to develop multi-sport skills and learn about cricket and badminton. Coaching, game play and activities allow students to improve their co-ordination and fitness while having fun in a relaxed, supportive environment. All skill levels very welcome.  
Junior Jam (instrumental only for now) w/ Anna A session for confident lower school instrumentalists to come and jam (year groups F-8) (limited places).  
MORNING Basketball club w/ Simon For years 9 - 11. All abilities welcome.

Friday
Yr 11 GCSE Art w/ Sarah This is an opportubity for yr 11 GCSE art students to continue with their projects, sketchbooks and final pieces  
MORNING Netball w/ Gaynor This club provides lots of opportunities for students to develop multi-sport skills and learn about netball. Coaching, game play and activities allow students to improve their co-ordination and fitness while having fun in a relaxed, supportive environment.
