Wild Dartmoor Camps
Our Foundation and Year 7 classes recently enjoyed two wonderful wild Dartmoor camps. We slept in small tents, cooked and ate outdoors, explored staying safe in the wild and spent slow time together in the beautiful Dartmoor landscape. The river next to our camp provided swimming, a lot of play and time for quiet reflection sat on a rock in the middle of the flow. In the evenings we walked up to our nearest Tor and experienced awe inspiring sunsets and a magical moonrise. After some scrambling and exploring we walked back to camp as darkness fell, arriving ready for a warm drink before bed. Each child receives their own unique enrichment from these camps and the opportunity to slow down, take on new experiences and explore our wonderful local wild space.
